Pilates for Diverse Bodies
Private Pilates sessions & coaching, designed for you.

Pilates for bodies with a history
I love working with interesting bodies. Bodies with injuries, adaptations, diagnoses, changing needs, or simply a complicated relationship with movement.
My clients come to me for many reasons, including hypermobility and EDS, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, spondylolisthesis, diastasis recti, hernias, chronic pain, postpartum and surgical recovery, menopause, and returning to movement after a long period of inactivity.
You don’t need to arrive strong, flexible, coordinated, or already “good at” exercise. We start with the body you have today.
Private sessions built around you
Each session begins with what is happening in your body that day. We use Pilates equipment, props, conversation, and careful observation to find movement that feels supported and useful.
Sessions move at your pace, with room to pause, ask questions, and make changes. Together, we build strength, confidence, and a movement practice that works with your body—not against it.

Why I Teach This Way
My teaching is shaped by my own experience of hypermobility, injury, and recovery—and by twenty years as an Oakland public school teacher.
I know what it feels like to be wary of movement and unsure whether an exercise is right for your body. In our sessions, you won’t be pushed to perform or fit a one-size-fits-all method. We pay attention, adapt, and build from where you are.
My goal is to help you feel stronger, move with more ease, and develop a deeper trust in your own body.
